Reflecting the upgrade in the Lloyd's market rating, Syndicate 2010's Best's Syndicate Rating is upgraded to A (Excellent) from A- (Excellent) and the Syndicate is also assigned an ICR (issuer credit rating) of 'a'.

Richard Wood to Join Cathedral
Richard Wood, currently responsible for the Catlin group’s direct and facultative property team at Lloyd’s, is to join Cathedral Syndicate 2010 once he has satisfied his existing contractual obligations.
Richard (38) has worked at Lloyd’s since 1986, joining Catlin in 1999 from the Hiscox group as a direct and facultative property specialist. Cathedral group chairman, Elvin Patrick, commented “We are delighted that Richard has agreed to join Syndicate 2010. His experience and expertise will enhance the syndicate’s underwriting capability. He will reinforce the strength and depth of the team, giving us another important underwriting pen”.
